Information We Collect
Auto Care AI handles information that you provide directly in the app and information needed to run account, sync, reminder, export, and AI features.
- Account information such as email address, username, and sign-in related account state.
- Vehicle records such as vehicle profiles, odometer readings, fuel logs, service logs, expense logs, and trip logs.
- Reminder, report, and export related settings and metadata tied to your account.
- Receipts or other attachments that you explicitly select and submit.
- AI prompts and the maintenance or trip context needed to answer those prompts.
How We Use Information
We use this information to operate the app you installed. That includes authenticating your account, syncing records across sessions and devices, generating reminders, producing exports, and responding to AI-assisted requests when you use those features.
We do not describe unrelated collection on this page. If a future release adds new data flows, this policy will be updated before that release is represented as current.
Authentication And Sign-In
Auto Care AI requires sign-in before use. The current build supports Google sign-in and email/password sign-in. Authentication data is used to identify your account, secure access to your records, and restore your synced profile after sign-in.
Offline Storage And Sync
Auto Care AI is built with offline-first behavior. The app may cache local data on your device and may keep queued offline entries until they can sync successfully with the configured backend.
This local storage supports continuity when the device is offline. Queued data is intended to sync when connectivity returns.
Receipts And File Attachments
You may attach receipts or similar files to supported records. The app uses the system document picker so you can choose files explicitly. The app does not request broad file-storage access for this feature.
Selected files may be cached on-device as needed to support upload, rehydration, or opening an attached receipt later.
AI Features
Auto Care AI includes AI assistant and AI summary surfaces. When you use them, prompts and the relevant maintenance, vehicle, or trip context needed to answer your request may be processed by AI-related backend endpoints.
If you do not use AI features, those AI-specific prompts are not submitted on your behalf.
Notifications
The Android app requests notification permission so it can surface maintenance reminder alerts. You can review or change notification permission from Android system settings and from the app’s settings surfaces where available.
Data Sharing And Service Providers
Auto Care AI sends data to the configured Auto Care AI backend so account, sync, reminder, export, and AI features can work. If you choose Google sign-in, the sign-in flow also relies on the relevant Google authentication services.
This policy does not claim that advertising networks or third-party diagnostics are collecting data for the current release unless those services are actually active in the shipped build.
Data Retention
Synced account and app records may be retained on backend systems while needed to operate your account and provide the app’s features. Local cache, queued offline entries, and downloaded receipt files may remain on-device until they are replaced, cleared, or removed with the app.
Your Choices
- Sign out from the Settings screen.
- Review app permissions from Settings and from Android system controls.
- Manage ads and consent preferences from the Ads & consent screen.
- Disable reminder notifications or email alerts where those controls are available.
- Avoid attaching receipts or using AI features if you do not want to submit that information.
Children’s Privacy
Auto Care AI is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the app, contact us so we can review the situation.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this page when the product, data flows, or release scope changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the current revision.
